VOICE THREAD

As another way to enhance the EFL learning, Voice Thread is an app that can be easily used. Within the classroom setting, it is easier to implement this web-based application because it can be used from a mobile or a computer. Professors can ask their students for pictures, videos or voice records and use them as class work or home work.

By using Voice Thread, students can reinforce their speaking skill. Students can be asked to comment with recordings the teachers’ slides presentation or video, and in this way professors can assess their students. Besides, when learners create their recordings, videos or presentations, they can start all over again if they make a mistake. In this way, students can monitor their learning and make corrections when necessary.

Activities samples:

1.    Speaking club

Students can create a platform which can be named “X club”. On it, they will discuss about a topic of interest or any topic the teacher assigns them.

2.    Oral Presentations from home

Students can create their Voice Thread slides and give their explanation about the topic the teacher assigned.  

3.    Reflection Recording

Students can record their insights by commenting the teacher’s forum.
